MY NUMBER 1 TIP FOR LONG AND STRONG NAILS

I know it might sound quite strange, but as well as being a commercial model, I'm also a hand and foot model :P I love it - no need to spend ages on hair and makeup and I have the perfect excuse to go and get myself manicures and pedicures all the time. However, I do struggle a bit keeping my flimsy week nails a nice length to all times. They just break so easily, and starts peeling as soon as they grow a bit long. I wrote a post a while back actually on ways to help strengthen your nails - as this is actually something I am quite obsessed with. Not because I'm desperate to have long nails for the look of it - I actually think well-kept short bails look great too. But I obsess about it because it is an important part of my job. A broken nail can mean that I lose out on a good amount of money. Crazy right!

Luckily, I have found a solution! Some good friends of mine back at home in Norway recommended that I try a nail straightener from O.P.I called Nail Envy. I didn’t actually expect it to work on my weak nails, but it does!! Wohoo. I’m completely reliant on this product now, and I use it a base beneath my favourite natural-pink colour from Essie called ‘Sugar Daddy’. The combination of the two polishes is pretty perfect – at least that’s my personal opinion.

O.P.I NAIL ENVY

A few months back on a glorious summer day over in Norway, I commented on the fact that one of my friends had really long stunning nails. I assumed they weren't her natural once, so when she told me it was I was very surprised. She told me that she had been using O.P.I Nail Envy for the last few months and that this was why her nails were looking so nice and long. After another friend of mine joined the conversation also vouching for this nail strengthener - I decided to give it ago my self :)

One thing I would say about the O.P.I Nail Envy though that I wish was slightly better is the fact that it dosent actually fix your nails, it mainly just adds a strong layer to it which means that they don't break as easily. I'm still really please about the product and I'm pretty sure that my nails has become a bit stronger naturally as well - but achieving the long nails is mainly due to the 'polish-armor' that this product gives - sort of in the same way as gellack makes your nails stronger whilst is on. The massive difference between gellack and Nail Envy though is the fact that Nail Envy does not damage your nails, and you nails do potentially become a bit stronger when using it for a while. With gellack, your nails gets super strong once its on but the natural nail beneath it gets quite damaged and weak.

All in all, I do believe that this is a product worth trying out of you struggle with nails that breaks easily :)
