JAPANESE SKIN PREP TIPS WE SHOULD ALL FOLLOW
Hi everyone! This is Reve again. I have just come back to London from Fashion Week. London, Milan, Paris with 30+kg of makeup products is not fun, but being able to work at the back stages with so many talented people for some of the biggest Fashion Shows is just too exciting that I cannot resist to do it again and again.
I really love my Job, I have to say. What is better than being able to work and travel at the same time, always meeting new people and making new friends. I am able to do what I love to do. I think I am truly blessed to have this career.
Here is Reve with fashion designer, Jason Wu, and some of his model friends.
SKIN PREP TIPS STRAIGHT FROM JAPAN
I think skin care is one of the most important part for all the makeup. A correct and good skin care can improve the skin condition, reduce the skin problems, make the foundation stay better throughout the day, avoiding cakey finish even with a fuller coverage foundation and the most important thing is — its' ANTI-AGING.
STEP 1.: CLEANSE
Before doing anything, I usually make sure the face is completely clean by using the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution. It perfect for all skin type including sensitive/dry skin.
STEP 2.: ROSE TONIC WATER
And after I I would use face tonic water. I really like this Roberts Acqua Distillata Alle Rose Tonic Rinefrescante. I usually apply it all over the face with a cotton. I like the way how it moisturises the face without leaving any oily or sticky feeling on the face that makes my models or my clients feel very refreshing.
Until I feel that the face have absorbed the Rose Water, I will move on the the next step - face Massage. Since I moved to Europe, I realised most of the makeup artists do not do face massage before apply any other makeup products. This is probably one of the biggest difference I found in between Japanese and European Makeup Artists.
For me, face massage is one of the most important part in my make up routine. Especially when my client have been working for the whole day and finally have time to sit down, relax and get ready for the evening or my models have been to 3-4 shows before coming to me with an exhausted face skin by have 2 -3 different makeup on and off, or even in the morning when they are still half asleep.
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP: FACE MASSAGE
A good face massage not only can refresh the face, it can also refresh the soul. It helps the blood circulations, lift up the skin, reduce the appearance of the fine lines or winkles on the face.
When I do face massage, I like to use serum instead of any face cream or face oil. Sometimes I find that face cream or face oilI can be too heavy for the skin or otherwise drying out too quickly. And I really like to use this Soap and Glory Make Yourself Youthful Super Serum because it can really make the skin to stay slippery for a good amount of time and even if I use a lot of.
