FullSizeRender.jpg

Festive season is here and there are so many parties and gatherings to go to, you can barely keep count. Me too. So you are basically constantly thinking of the next outfit, hair and makeup, trying not to look the same for every event, right? Perhaps your hair is equally shitty and thin as mine, adding some oiliness just to have that cherry on top? Yup, I feel you. Honestly, it’s my daily struggle, fighting against that horrific flat hair look, so I naturally have tried SO.MANY.PRODUCTS. But I think I found pure golds here, and I am so excited to share my discoveries with you. Weirdly enough, two out of three of the products I will talk about came to my attention rather randomly, as they were just not the brands or product types I would normally think of purchasing. Until now. So fellow thin hair gals, scroll down for three products that will save you from suffering. You can thank me later. ;)

STYLISTA BEACH WAVE MIST FROM L’ORÉAL

Well, as you have probably seen by now, I do not have wavy hair, so this product is definitely not one I would think of getting. However, a few months back I’ve done a little collab shoot with our June Guest Blogger, Kethrin Be where she did the whole production from hair and makeup, to styling and taking the photographs. Super talented women, I’m telling you. As Kethrin was working on my hair, she sprayed this lovely smelling product on that I did not understand at the time, but I thought I’d just let her do her thing, and man, was I right to do so. The Beach Wave Mist from L’ORÉAL was already one of her go-to products for a while and now it is mine as well. It gives you such a lovely salty hair feel without making it feel too sticky -unlike many other products. Seeing it’s a salty texture, it left my hair with texture and lovely volume throughout the whole shoot-which is almost unheard of in my case. I can definitely recommend!

BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO IN BLUSH

The originals are the ones I go for. Forget the 2 in 1 products if you have greasy hair-which is what this product is for, so I really don’t understand what the point is for making a “dry shampoo” that’s also “conditioning”. All it did is make my hair look even worse than before. Like horrifyingly bad. So bad in fact that I just decided to do a blog post on it soon with a video review so you can see what I mean. It’s a joke. The originals however, lifesavers. I literally live on them, as sadly as soon as I get to day two after washing my hair, it’s greasy and the last thing I want to do is wash my hair every day. So dry shampoo it is. I really love that it’s not only making my hair look fresher, it gives my locks great texture. One tip I can give you is to really shake it out, unless you are using the coloured versions. I use Batiste “Blush” or “Tropical”.

AND THE BEST AND MOST AMAZING PRODUCT PRIZE GOES TO:

DRY TEXTURE SPRAY FROM MOROCCAN OIL

The biggest shocker to me. I have to admit, I’ve always thought of this brand as one of those pretty looking package ones that don’t really do much, or at least not for my difficult hair type. I was SO WRONG. I have only tried the “Dry Texture Spray” so far, and even that was a coincidence. You see, our Annabell has recently moved houses and had loads of products she wanted to get rid off to make moving easier, and this was one of them. Lucky for her, she has got loads of beautifully thick hair, and luckily she doesn’t suffer from greasiness, so this product wasn’t for her as it dried her hair out a little too much. So I said I’d take it. Why not. Well, as it wasn’t the perfect product for her, it was the most amazing one for me. I would not leave my house without spraying this spray on it. Best is, it’s a dry texture spray, so I actually use it instead of hair spray. Which is also good for giving texture, but I feel this one is 100 times better. I mentioned about the L’oréal Beach Wave Mist further up that it holds my hair for long, while it really does, eventually after a few hours I could see my hair getting flatter, while with this one, my hair looks amazing until the day I decide to wash it. As long as I use dry shampoo to get rid of greasiness.

I hope this post helped to all my fellow thin hair girls, let me know what you think and please feel free to ask any questions you may have either here in comments or DM us on instagram on @the4ofus_uk xx
