LOCATION HUNTING AND A PHOTOSHOOT IN AN ASIAN SUPERMARKET
I absolutely love location scouting - I always keep an eye out when Iʼm wandering around London for new places to shoot or somewhere a little different to try out. I have been wanting to shoot in a supermarket for a while as I had seen a load of images on Pinterest (a GREAT way to get inspired). I have also been wanting to shoot in a warehouse for a while and came across Wing Yip - a Chinese wholesaler. Singer Tallia Storm got in contact to shoot for London Fashion Week and I thought this was the perfect occasion and location! Tallia and I spoke about the styling we wanted and I sent her a few inspiration images just to make sure we were both on the same track (so important when you are photographing someone for the first time).
DOWN THE AISLES
We started off by shooting down some of the aisles. We found sections of the aisle that we thought would work best with the first outfit Tallia was wearing. I love images where the models are interacting with objects or candid shots of the models walking or moving so I always try to get these shots throughout any shoot I do. I also love symmetry and geometric lines in images, the middles of the aisles worked really well for this.

We then headed to the warehouse section of the supermarket to shoot the
second look. This was where I wanted to get Tallia in a trolley in the centre of the aisle - I love the look of the ceiling being super high! We played around with different angles and focus points. I have recently been shooting on a Canon 24-70mm 2.8, this lens is amazing for shooting at different angles, for example if you want to shoot from down below and still get the subject in full frame - this is the perfect lens! Itʼs great if you want to get more wide angle shots too.
