THE HAIR SCARF - ALSO A GREAT ACCESSORY FOR AUTUMN
CHIC + ROMANTIC
Incorporating your favourite silk scarf into your hairstyle quickly became a very popular look this summer. But is it just a summer trend? Definitely not! We think this look goes great together with autumn outfits as well!
It’s the perfect combination of chic and romantic - like when pairing a minimalistic autumn blazer with a floaty colourful scarf attached to your low pony like Annabell has done here. Or add a cute little bow to your bun, paired with your knit or polo neck like Sara here?
There are so many ways to wear the hair scarf, and in this post we will show you some different ways we like to style it :)
THE LOW PONY
This is one of the more standard ways of using a scarf as a hair accessory.
Tie it around your low ponytail and let the ends hang down.
THE TOP BUN
Also a classic :) Tie your scarf around your top bun and let the ends hang loose like Annabell has done here. If the scarf is too long to let the ends hang loose then you can make a little bow.
Tip: wrap the scarf around your bun at least twice if it’s a bit long to make the ends shorter :)
You can of course also use the scarf as a classic headband. This way it also actually get a practical function, holding your hair away from your face :p
Roll the scarf up and wrap it around your head tying it at the neck beneath your hair and letting the ends hang down (as usual).
This scarf I’m wearing here is designed by Alexandra Strandhal. A friend of Sara’s from Norway who started this brand all by her self a few years back. This company make really beautiful silk and cashmere scarfs. Worth checking out :)
THE HALF UP
Can’t decide if you want to keep your hair up or down? Why not tie half of it up using a normal hair bubble, and then cover it up by creating a knot around the hair tie using a cute little scarf like in this picture.
Let the ends hang down or tie it into a little bow :)
THE HEAD BAND WITH KNOT ON TOP
Again, use the scarf to tie away the hair from your face, but this time tie the scarf at the top of your head.
If the scarf is quite long, you can tie it into a bow. However, shorter scarfs are definitely best suited for this styling.
THE LOOSE PONY
If you’ve got quite long hair, then this is the look for you :)
Put your hair into a super loose low ponytail, and tie your scarf around it letting the ends hang down alongside your hair.
GREAT shopping TIP!
Second hand shops are the perfect place to find beautiful silk scarfs suitable to use in your hair!
They usually have big baskets filled with scarf - most of them are sold for around £5 :)
