ADD SOME COLOUR TO A MINIMALISTIC ENSEMBLE WITH A BOLD EYELINER!
Continuing our makeup-weekend, I brought you a little tip on how you could add a tiny pop of colour to a minimalistic outfit. Now of course you could go all out and experiment with adding coloured eyeliner to make an already daring outfit just a bit more extra, but if you are someone like me-a person that often chooses simple colours, this is definitely a safe way to make your outfit a bit more special.
I was originally planning on putting an outfit on for this shoot that I'd normally wear to show you just how much difference a bold colour eyeliner can make, but unfortunately all my awesome friends that normally help me were super busy, so I just had to make do with taking selfies with a micro lens. Not easy. Ha. I'm sure you can imagine what I mean tho'! :)
THE EYE SHADOW PALETTE TRICK
I really like the idea of having many different colours to play with, but to be honest, I'm not quite sure I'm willing to fork out so much money for 3-4 different eyeliners that I won't even be using all that much. So, speaking to my cousin Greta, our favourite make up artist, she recommended I try using eye shadows to create the look.
I have done it before, but I always thought it was fading too much after a little while, so wasn't sure I wanted to go for bold colours seeing it could fade and look a bit strange. She gave me an awesome tip tho'- use a setting spray once the powder is on your brush! I've used one from Mac Cosmetics this time.
It works! So clever, I love it!
Greta got this Huda Beauty palette that might be a bit too pricy for £25.00, so if you want a pocket friendlier option, there is a similar palette at Nyx Cosmetics as well for £16.00-you can purchase them in our shop if you scroll down.
You also need a flat liner brush, not an eyeliner brush, to have a better effect using an eye shadow.
Good luck, and if you have any questions regarding this post, don't hesitate to drop us an e-mail!
