We have come to the very last day of June, which means it's time to say good bye to this months guest blogger, fashion photographer and magazine editor Cecilie Harris.
Just over a week ago, we all did a photoshoot together as part of our Guest Blogger collaboration this month. During this shoot we created a second chapter to Sara's previous work with Cecilie, which you can find here!
THE SEVEN SECRETS OF GIRLHOOD
Cecilie named this concept and photographic story: The seven secrets of girlhood. As she was photographing all 3 of us this time, Cecilie wanted to explore different sides and emotions within a group of female friends. Inspiration-words from the mood board, which we used actively during the shoot were: friendship, girlhood, fun, solitude, fragile, support and compassion.
We think Cecilie managed to capture a different side of us, as well as a range of expressions. She actually had to tell us quite a lot to stop posing, as she wanted to capture expressions almost like the camera wasn't even there. As 3 commercial models, we are now more or less trained to pose to make sure we always highlight the products that we are selling. For instance, which pose do is needed to show off all the details on the clothes we are wearing? Where are the pockets? Which angle do I need to stand in to show of the details on the cuffs? And so on.. So we all automatically went in to `pose mode` - which we actually had to PAUSE. ;) We enjoyed this shoot a lot, as it was so relaxed, fun you could be just YOURSELF and show your personality.
During our shoot with Cecilie, there were no products to sell - and instead it was all about capturing genuin expressions of us 3 girls.
IN THE MOMENT
All of the clothes we are wearing in these photographs are from the British clothing brand Palmer//Harding. Cecilie works regularly with this brand, and this link made it possible for us to borrow are large amount of items from their newest collection.
Palmer//Harding launched in 2012 by central saint martins trained Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding. The brand specialises in shirts, and all of there items are very unique in their own way. We love how they have managed to turn the classic shirt into modern fashion pieces. The shorts we had for this shoot were all in a combination of white and blues, which have made the pictures look clean and minimalistic in a way. We think this is a every interesting brand, and we are very happy that Cecilie introduced us to them.
3 PERSONALITIES IN ONE PICTURE
THE TRUE MOMENTS
A big thank you to Cecilie for joining us this month! We look forward to seeing more of your work in the future :)
