MAKE THE MOST OF DAYLIGHT
Shooting tests is always a little bit of a risk unless you really know the work of the photographer or have worked together before. Usually, I find it's most enjoyable if you organise it yourself because despite the work to set it up, every element is as you want it. This time "KIDCIRCUS" wrote to me on Instagram after he saw that his buddy, Henry (who I shot with in the fog) had taken my picture.
A few days later I found myself meeting him by the Barbican Underground station for an urban shoot. We only had to walk a minute to find this really bold and colourful building pictured below. I was basically balancing on the railing whilst Kidcircus was laying on his back on the ground to get these super low angles. I love the way it added drama to the architecture and power to my poses in a kind of Hip Hop album cover way ;o) Funny enough, a few weeks ago I was around the same part of the Barbican area with my boyfriend and as we had our fuji camera with us we took a few more by this awesome building. The light was super moody and we got some really wicked shots, which I'll share here as a street style post soon.
Its super easy to shoot with Kidcircus, I took some clothes with me in a rucksack as well as a beanie and some accessories to help define the looks a bit. He basically shoots away while I move around from pose to pose between each shutter release. The camera trigger doesn't stop once haha :) I'm very pleased with the images and found it hard decide which pictures to share here. I already met up with him twice in one week, where we shot in some super cool and unique locations you only find in London. I can't wait to share those with you soon too.
BLUE VS. PINK
So, if you live here, go out and explore London and grab your camera or phone and snap this wonderful big city which has such great photoshoot potential. xx Annabell
