FOOD TIPS FOR NEW YORK
GALLI, Italian comfort food - based in the heart of Soho in New York. As I grow up in Munich, (south of Germany) we drove every year to Italy on holiday, so as you can imagine we ate a lot of lovely Italian food. My love for pasta remains so I`m always on the look out for great Italian restauratns. We spotted GALLI whilst exploring Soho, both our tummies were rumbling so we dived in!
We liked it so much, that we found our selfs going there twice in a row ;) The second time we had some amazing cocktails in the evening at the bar and I chose the same pasta dish, Bolognese again ;)
GREAT ATMOSPHERE, SERVICE & INTERIOR DESIGN
45 Mercer Street
(btw Broome & Grand Streets)
New York, NY 10013
Another great Italian restaurant is MARTA, based in Midtown of NYC with its big open space and windows. This restaurant offers super yummy thin, crackly-crusted pizzas made in one of two wood burning ovens. We shared different types of antipasti and then of course we had to try out their famous pizzas. Yum! I can`t wait to go back there. :)
BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE
The Blue bottle coffee chain are popping up all over LA and New York but they are nothing like Starbucks. By this I mean, the coffee is actually really good and their design is very minimal which I personally love. If you get a chance to try it and really like it, you can get a weekly or monthly subscription to receive fresh roasted coffee beans for your home.
