FUER SIE - BEAUTY EDITORIAL FEATURING ANNABELL IN GERMAN MAGAZIN
Direct bookings are always the best way to get work in the model business - you don't have to go to a casting and the client just chooses you from the agencies portfolio, set card and polaroids. Polaroids, in case you dont know are digital pics taken in natural light with minimal make up.
I was booked this autumn for a beauty editorial in the German magazine called 'Für Sie' who are based in Hamburg.
I haven't done many beauty shoots this year so when the booking came through I got super excited and thought that it could be something new for my book.
I flew to Hamburg, which is actually my favourite city in Germany but stayed there only for one night sadly.
On the morning of the shoot I went down to reception to order a taxi but unfortunately there was none available because of a huge exhibition taking place. So I ended up taking the underground (of course I went the wrong direction first) haha but then finally I arrived at the studio just 30 min late.
First I had some lovely fresh bread with cheese a nice cup of coffee and spoke to the team to find out more about the shoot. I found out i would be shooting with another model who was from Helsinki :) and that we would do a mix of solo shots and us together.
I never thought i would like my hair styled in this way but really loved the look of those crazy curls. You can see the hair in the behind the scenes pictures and the final images. My favourite make up look was definitely the dark lips with the jewelled hair accessories.
Overall I'm very happy with the results and I can't wait to be back in Germany to work and if not, a spring holiday ;o)
