A GOOD START TO YOUR DAY

So this breakfast porridge is part of Sara´s morning routine. She cheats a bit and brings back from home a ready seed and nut mix from the Danish brand Aurion. The porridge is easily prepared by boiling the mixture with some water and coconut milk. It´s also really nice to add some fresh fruit, berries and nuts as a finish. You can find similar products to this one in health stores, but if not then you can still make the porridge the old fashion way - from scratch! You can for instance make a jar with your own mixture, with enough to last you for several mornings. For a large jar you will need:

Ingredients:

  • 3dl Whole millet seeds
  • 3dl Buckwheat
  • 2dl Quinoa
  • 1dl Flax seeds
  • 1dl Almonds
  • A handful of dried fruit

Use water and/or your preferred milk (personally I use coconut milk). For one portion I usually use about 3.5dl of liquid and a total of 1dl of grains. Let it boil on low heath for about 5 to 10 minutes. If you like a bit of extra flavour you can add agave syrup, vanilla powder and/or some cinnamon.

Finish off the porridge by adding your favourite topping (berries, fresh fruit, nuts and so on). Then enjoy :)

The porridge is gluten free, and filled with vitamin B
