the most refreshing summer drink
Smoothies never tastes as good as it does on a hot summers day! I (Sara) am completely hooked on watermelon at the moment, so I wanted to experiment a bit with using this fruit in my smoothies - and I've now ended up with a pretty delicious recipe! Its super refreshing, and very very simple to make.
WHAT YOU NEED (1 LARGE GLASS):
- Watermelon (about 1/5 of a melon)
- Frozen strawberries (15 - 20 berries)
- Yoghurt (3-4 tablespoons)
EXTRAS IF YOU FANCY A SLIGHTLY MORE UNUSUAL TASTE:
- Mint leaves
All you need to do is to blend it all together - and enjoy :) You might find it strange that you're not adding any liquid, but the watermelon consists of about 92% water - and will be liquified as soon as you blend the fruit. You dont need to complicate it, the drink is super yummy using only watermelon, frozen strawberries and yoghurt. However, if you would like to change it up sometimes, by adding lime and mint leaves the smoothie will get a new and exciting taste. These two green and flavoursome ingredients will also make this an even more fres-tasting drink!
